What Is RSS?

You probably have noticed those little orange RSS or XML buttons on some of your favorite web sites. If you were wondering what they are...
It's "the next big thing" -- use it to get newsfeeds from CNN or BBC, and just about anything else, including news on upcoming movies, DVD releases, your favorite musician's tour updates, and automatic updates from DigitalMania.
What it means to you is that you can keep up-to-date on the latest iPod Accessories, iPod news, tips, and Music from Pod Mania without having to check-in every day. When you click on these buttons RSS or XML, Pod Mania will automatically send you what's new.
How do you get started? Easy!
First, download a free RSS Reader. This special software, similar to your browser, reads the RSS feeds...only takes a sec. go get it! (This isn't email so no worries about spam or viruses.)

Mac -- NetNewsWire, here
Did you get the software, good, now here's all you have to do...
Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on the orange RSS button here. 
Now select Copy Shortcut (windows) or Copy Link (Mac) and paste that URL into your RSS Reader (need to open your RSS software).
And that's it! You're subscribed.
What Happens Now?
This is the good part, whenever you open your RSS reader software - it will list those web sites that have updated their news and information. Now just click and go check them out.
No muss or fuss - no viruses, no email spam, just the information you want. Change your mind, just delete the link from your RSS reader - it's that simple!
