Transfer photos from ipod to computer

My photos have been transferred to IPOD from computer. Due to a fault on computer all photos have been lost. We have tried to transfer back to computer but photos now in different format (inadvertently omitted to tick something when initial transfer made, is there any way we can get IPOD pics back onto computer or is it not possible? Please help.

I guess you will need to utilize some iPod photo transfer program to help you. I've come across this before when my computer crashed, and I got this program to help me. It can help you copy all photos from iPod back to computer. You might give it a try. Hope it helps.

Hi, I have the same problem. I downloaded the software but it allows me to copy only first 6 photos unless I purchase. even that was not possible due to software unable to locate some directory to copy into.... Any other way or free software that does the trick for all?
