installing itunes lost administrater account

Hi
My son tried to install i tunes for a new ipod touch on my laptop.
this caused my laptop to erase all user accounts including the administrator account so now I cannot use the laptop to install any new software or use my ipod.
My son tried to retrieve the user accounts with no success.
Can anyone offer any help?

A complete playlist disappear fron i Tunes. Why? How I recover it?
