No sound from right side

Had to replace hard drive in home computer and after re-syncing 80GB classic there is no sound from right channel. I do not have a dock so I can't try that. Any suggestions? Also when running self diagnostics it stops at FWPWR and will not complete tests. I do not have Firewire cable.

Try another set of earphones

Try another set of earphones if same result then there is likely something wrong with your iPod otherwise it is your earphones. You might try resetting it too. Instructions in nav bar across top of page.
