when connecting ippod to dell laptop computer restarts

ipod causes dell laptop to restart upon connecting. we can use ipod on a seperate laptop, but on my daughters machine it causes a restart.

any ideas???

Have your power supply

Have your power supply tested. Try another device that requires a USB 2.0 connection and see how it works out. Make sure it's a USB 2.0 only device. I'm betting you're using a Nano 4th gen, right?
